Featured Story - Photographer Tania Libertad
As far back as Tania can remember, she has always been intrigued by the world of art. Starting from her childhood in Tijuana, Mexico, to pursuing her passion for Jazz/Classical singing while attending Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan. There has always been a drive to learn and experience more. During her time at the Academy, Tania discovered many forms of art, one of which has brought much joy and “perspective” to her life, photography.
After college, Tania moved back to her hometown where she met a gentleman by the name of Jim Platel, a San Diego photographer who had been living in Tijuana, capturing the city as he saw it. After taking part in various shoots with Jim and learning from him along the way, Tania decided to take her photography to the next level. Starting with her family, then concerts and backpack adventures, to capturing anything and everything she looked at; her photographs offer a different view into the beauty of what others may perceive as normal.
Tania’s resume includes a long list of photoshoots and personal pieces, as well as conducting photography for Naked Panda. Her favorite shoots come from observing people and scenic photography.
